Manen,
Thought you spent the festive season at Mundrau! because that's where she was.....
Anyway, thanks for update on the positive progress at home. Road has been the hindrance to developments and let's hope it brings many more returns to all PNKA areas.
Here are my thoughts on the deaths in PNKA: Life is a journey and death is the beginning the next chapter of our life, ie the spiritual life. The challenge for us is - Are we living our lives to the fullest and preparing ourselves for the next life (death)? Let's hope the remaining months in 2012 are safe and healthy for all. As stated death begins the next journey which is peaceful and eternal, hence this is also a time of celebration as always evident in our culture. Let's us pay our respect the KA way.
Cheers and pehon, all the way from the rainy & cloudy Star Mountains!

Our senior elders at POM and elsewhere are expressing their respects to love ones moving ahead into new destiny. They want to know funeral arrangements and haus krai locations and other things. Please people who are tasks and given the responsibilities, update and let everyone knows about such arrangements.
These seniors are too young to leave us and family members behind. Very sad to hear and see such respectable and good people like them leaving us.
Thanks Charlie and Manen for your concern and respect. Good for Wamandra to update and detail us with progress of things happening at PNKA and especially the highway and markets.
All have top day

All
Good morning and I just arrived at work today after spending my Christmas
and New Year at Wamandra in the centre of Manus. Life has improved at home
after the development of the Manus Highway 1. You can now travel from Momote
all the way to Ndromalmal on the same day. Because of the highway, people
from as far as Buyang are going to the Ndomalmal and Saha Markets and the
Andras are going to Kari to sell fish and other sea food.
In spite of that, yes we lost some seniors late last year and early this
year. Gabriel Kaor Kira of Ndritampat was the first to go, then John Sandy
Sireh then Bill Kepiou all of the same village. Now the latest is Gabriel
Waii.
Those that volunteered to lead in funeral arrangements in Moresby, please
send out details of the arrangements so we can all pay our last respects.
Mannen

I still have to give you K50 for this and just have not found the time to bring it over. My sincere apologies. From the home front, yes there was word from the Governor of Manus that he will donate K80,000 by this Friday week. Whether it happens or not we will wait and see. I have relayed to Steven that when it does really happen, then the money needs to come to our account in Port Moresby and no questions asked. When we have all the funds sorted here, itemized by cost and activity planned- then work can start immediately. Let us pray that it must happen.

2012 New Year Celebrations
Only Loniu Clan in around PNG funded the Village's New Year Celebration.
Paluwaha, Chaingol, Rai, and Kamaat members may have helped their family members individually but the real contributors are the Loniu Clan...
I have not heard any news from Home over the Xmas and New year But I know Wara-kalas made its round from point to point.
Fights did occur I know and Of Course Its our Brothers from the Pachowe Club.
PomCity Celebration was a slow hit as most of our Guitarist went home...Our very own AK 47 I am sure contributed something for the Chadols of Kikiu ..Go Chops...
Paps Michael Lohai and Myself visted Kevau on the Early hours of the new year with a Esky full of White can for the Kamaat Clan...Thats Meleh to Kamaat Visit. We did good except for the heavy down poor....
Cyfryd Isaac, Charlie Kochir Sale, Sipopoi, Aloise Gris, Bubu Lawrence Wawun, John Ramu, Joe Morris were all present to welcome us...
Taurama Clan had something small and I am so Renbo was a hit especially with the two Bottles Janet Papi Gave me to drop off at the Hilltop Nunnery. Bro Charlie Papi had a big Mackeral so I am so Sista Gets and Kids had something medium for the xmas...
The Yard Boys had a bad start into the XMAS celebration with an accident...Brother Wasiu has a lot to answer for the road rage race which ended up with no one injured. Thanks goodness...
In Bomana...Pelu and Uncle is sick....I encourgae you all Aparians to pray for him and please pay a visit to Bomana.
Elsewhere around PNG I have not had anyupdates pooring in so I guess I am writing this update to myself...
